Why this date
Ashwina Krishna Trayodashi runs from 25 Oct 2019 19:08 to 26 Oct 2019 15:46 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
The festival is kept on the first day on which this tithi is running at pradosh (dusk). Here is that moment on the day before, the day itself and the day after:
- 25 Oct 2019 · pradosh (dusk) at 18:29: the tithi had not begun
- 26 Oct 2019 · pradosh (dusk) at 18:28: the tithi was already over
- 27 Oct 2019 · pradosh (dusk) at 18:27: the tithi was already over
This year the tithi was running at no pradosh (dusk), so the festival goes on the day it was running at sunrise.
