Rashifal by Moon sign
Makara (Capricorn) rashifal · 2017
Take care
The year in short
This year Jupiter is in your 9th house. This is a good house for Jupiter, but another planet stands in the house that blocks it (vedha), so the texts expect only part of the good.
Saturn is in your 11th house. The tradition counts this as Saturn asking for patience, discipline and care with health and money.

How this rashifal is worked out
Every planet's position is computed for the period and counted in houses from the Moon sign. The classical transit rules (Phaladeepika, Brihat Samhita) list the houses where each planet's transit is good; anywhere else it is difficult. A good placement is cancelled (vedha) when another planet stands in its blocking house. The Moon sets the tone of a day, the Sun, Mars, Mercury and Venus a week or a month, and Jupiter, Saturn and Rahu a year.
| Planet | Good in houses | Blocked from (good → blocking house) |
|---|---|---|
| Sun | 3, 6, 10, 11 | 3→9, 6→12, 10→4, 11→5 |
| Moon | 1, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11 | 1→5, 3→9, 6→12, 7→2, 10→4, 11→8 |
| Mars | 3, 6, 11 | 3→12, 6→9, 11→5 |
| Mercury | 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11 | 2→5, 4→3, 6→9, 8→1, 10→8, 11→12 |
| Jupiter | 2, 5, 7, 9, 11 | 2→12, 5→4, 7→3, 9→10, 11→8 |
| Venus | 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 12 | 1→8, 2→7, 3→1, 4→10, 5→9, 8→5, 9→11, 11→6, 12→3 |
| Saturn | 3, 6, 11 | 3→12, 6→9, 11→5 |
| Rahu | 3, 6, 11 | — |
| Ketu | 3, 6, 11 | — |
No blocking is counted between the Sun and Saturn or between the Moon and Mercury, as the texts say. Rahu and Ketu follow Saturn's houses. This is a reading for everyone born under the sign; your own kundli and dasha matter more.
